Strawberries, Stilettos and Steam by Imani True and Dreama Skye is a collection of erotic shorts. The book starts off with a woman about to slip into a hot bubble bath with a glass of champagne and a bowl of strawberries beside the tub....all in front of a webcam. She opens a package that she received earlier in the day that included a book that just so happens to be Strawberries, Stilettos and Steam, and she proceeds to read. There's a story about a student that attends classes online and just so happens to to get it on while class is in session; A woman who is bi-curious and meets someone online to quench her fantasy; A young man in college notices his best-friend's mother who is bound and determined to show him he's not a little boy anymore; A masked man that is going around climbing in the window of the women in the courthouse and sexing them; a cop that fantasizes about her partner and many more.Strawberries, Stilettos and Steam by Imani True and Dreama Skye was just okay...nothing more, nothing less. The first story in the book called "Detour" had a lot of conflicting scenes, not to mention the story with the courthouse. If a good developmental editor would have read these stories, they would have surely caught what I am referring to. There are also some editing issues, and the sex scenes were not as descriptive as they could have been. Saying they had sex for hours is not telling me exactly what they did in that time frame. There also seemed to be more girl on girl sex than any other stories. I understand that erotic is supposed to be heavily laced with sex but with a story. Unfortunately, Strawberries, Stilettos and Steam lacked the story and went straight to soft core porn.

Talk about high-octane in this book. The many titillating details that each of the characters' passionate desires, will have you wondering what more could they do?
You'll be in for the wildest excursions, these two amazing authors teamed up to give us something that will leave you in completely speechless, from story to story. This was a very easy read it flowed wonderfully.

While I understand that these were a collection of short stories, the writing was a little stiff, the characters were under developed, and the sex was s sophomoric at best. On the positive side, I believe both women have a future in the writing game and might do better with the chance at a much longer palette with which to create a more sizzling and fulfilling concoction.
The title is awesome, I must admit. The cover definitely draws in the reader and intrigues them. I will say that I was a bit confused with the beginning of the piece. I think I definitely ended up finding out that it's a narrative of sorts once I got to the end. I foudn the stories a bit short for my tastes, and because they were a bit short they didn't quite have the descriptive power I think it could've truly had if the stories had been just a bit more drawn out. Quite a few of the stories had a great deal of potential, Rayne's story, the cop tale, even the detour story had lead the reader down a path that stopped rather abruptly. Over all, I believe this is a truly conceptually sound piece, I think that with a little bit more detail it could be off the charts.

Wow I must say this book was worth it's weight in gold. Enjoyed every story and loved the subtle blend of poetic sentences with seductive and raw erotica.
The stories held my imagination and allowed my mind to be fully engulfed with the erotic scenarios that were tossed up. Loved the into which gave but a peak of what was to come.
Definitely a must buy as well as a must recommend. Sexy is back in a genre which had become a bit mundane. Kudos to the authors for making this book of passions wonderful.
These two writers are definitely going to go places (if they haven't already). Looking forward to more upcoming work from both Imani True and Dreama Skye.

I purchased this book for three reasons; I liked the cover, the title and the erotic genre. Over the years I've read plenty of erotic short stories but have never read anything by either of these authors before.
All the stories had different scenarios with sex being the focal point ...well I shouldn't really call them stories, because for me they were more like scenes. They were very short and to the point. The first was confusing at times and the rest were just OK, with a few having potential but then falling short. It was like the saying `wham bam thank you ma'am.' Or `hit it and run.' The `stories' were way too short and didn't pack enough punch on the descriptive and emotional side.
BUT as I mentioned a couple of the stories had potential. If given a much broader arena, I have no doubt that the authors will be able to showcase their talents within a full-length novel.
