Don't Cry Just Ride* T was a ride or die chick, loyal to all those she believed in and just like any true to life story she was let down time after time. Not wanting her daughter to go through what she went through she decided to wipe her tears and ride out of the cold streets she once called home. It was time to work on her. And who could blame her. The stuff that went down in the story was to much for anyone to handle but threw it all she was still standing. God is good!Note: In both part 1&2 I noticed that T was no stranger to God's work. Although she did things Satan was proud of, she knew who her savior was "GOD!" When she needed something greater than Hood love she got on her knees or looked to the heavens because she knew God's power could override the worst situation. Although, God didn't answer all of prayers, she was able to hear within( this kind of remind me of THE BOOK OF JOB)he allowed certain things to happen, so she could get the message "I have a greater plan for you."

God please give Tiara a break. I know moving away is not going to solve nothing, but it could ease a lot of her hurt. Man, Shawn needed to be murked. How do you do that to someone so innocent and who can't defend themselves. And she looked up to him. Just when I thought her mother was going to break down and be there! This series is full of surprises. they are definitely worth the read.
JUST FINISHED READING THIS AND IT IS DEFINITELY A MUST READ. TIARA JUST CAN'T CATCH A BREAK. THIS BOOK HAD ME VERY EMOTIONAL. I MEAN HOW MUCH CAN ONE WOMAN HANDLE? BUT TIARA HANDLES IT AND TAKES IT WITH STRIDES. SHE TRIED TO LEAVE THE HOOD BUT THE HOOD IS STILL IN HER. THIS BOOK LET'S YOU KNOW THAT LOYALTY WILL ONLY GET YOU SO FAR AND YOU CAN NEVER SUCCEED WHEN PUTTING OTHERS BEFORE YOURSELF. I HOPE THERE IS ANOTHER PART TO THIS BOOK CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW TIARA'S LIFE TURNS OUT.
I was very excited to read this book b/c I absolutely loved the 1st part. I was happy that it stayed true to the original and kept my interest. I was just totally blown away by Tony. I can't believe how he turned out....I mean SHOCKED!!!! And then that punk a$$ Shawn. The way I'm feeling if I see somebody named Shawn I might just spit in his face. Just disgusted! Don't even start me on that mama of hers. All in all it's a great book and I cant wait to start part # and hopefully Tiara gets her happy ending...fingers crossed!
Get your tissues ready and get ready to ride roller coaster Tiara. Only a strong women can endure all the trials and tribulations Tiara goes through in this story. While she constantly questions why, she doesn't even understand how strong she is. Tiara has me rooting for her every step of the way. Sometimes when asking why, people don't realize just how strong they are. Tiara finally finds her strength, and when you get to the end of this book you will definitely want to pick right back up on the story in Part 3. So get both copies today and get ready to laugh, scream, and cry!!! Enjoy!!!
Just when I thought things couldn't get any more crazy, this book takes me on another drama filled ride!!! The things Tiara was going through in this book, will make you think the life you living now is perfect. She been through the ringer and back. Especially when she got with her cheating thug Tony. Talk about a DOG!!! All Tiara wanted was out of the hood and to be happy, she succeeded at everything else except happiness. From the back stabbing friends, to the cheating boyfriend, and the devastating tragedy to her daughter and her brother, this book will leave you praying for a miracle in book 3. MUST READ PPL!!!!
Five years later and Plan A is working and all is good in Tiara's life at this point.She has her man, they have a business and most importantly she's out of the 'hood'. Everything is just perfect until her man does the ultimate no-no,resulting in her revisiting the hood.
There is something about the hood that keeps pulling her back and as bad as she wanted out she still goes running back.Tiara is one that tries to solve everyone's problems when she has her own...she calls it loyalty, I call it minding other folks business. Running to the hood has caused her Plan A to blow up and poor Tiara has no Plan B.

This book is a must read for everyone who wondered how Tiara James life ended up. Let's just say that it's nothing like you probably thought it would be. A Hood Chick's Story Part 2 took me through several emotions from anger to tears. Some situations (domestic abuse) that I have been through before. Events that occur in this book are very relatable and I'm sure every female has had at least one thing that happened to Tiara happen to them. Hopefully not the Shayonna incident but you will have to read to find out what happens. A few old characters are reintroduced and while Ms. Devaughn reminds us a bit, you may still want to crack upon part one of 'A Hood chick's Story' to find out and get those fresh angry feelings! lol A few spelling issues but nothing major that takes away from the book. All in all I have to recommend this book. Fans of the first will definitely not be disappointed with the second. And let's all pray the author does a part 3!
